A Charge to the Congregation (1 Thessalonians 2:1-12)

Pastor Phil Foley of Community Bible Church of Vallejo, CA gave a “Charge to the Congregation” during the Installation Service for Pastor Kempiz. Pastor Phil challenged our church family to live our lives in a matter worthy of the calling of Christ by sacrificially caring for one another in the Body.

For This I Toil (Colossians 1:24-29)

How our heart works, how it was ruined by sin, and how it is being fixed by God.

Letting go of sin and looking to Jesus.

The apostle Paul provides an example to imitate of pursuing Christ.

Perpetuating the Faith (2 Timothy 2:1-7)

We must intentionally perpetuate the faith.

God Owns You (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Because God the Father gave us life, God the Son redeemed us, and God the Holy Spirit indwelt us, we are to give God the glory and enjoy Him forever.

Reconciled with God (2 Corinthians 5:21)

See what God has done to reconcile us to Himself.

Essential Faith (Hebrews 11:1-6)

In order to please God, the Christian must live by faith.

Immanuel's Disciple-Makers (Matthew 28:16-20)

God commands us to be disciple-makers in order to grow, and help others grow, to be more Christlike.

Because of what Christ has done for us, we are to offer our body and mind in sacrifice to the Lord.
