THE TEAM --from Bruce Paden

Dear Tom,

I am attaching a picture we took of the soccer team last Sunday afternoon at the Center for Grieving Children here in Goma. This was our initial meeting with them.  One of the guys who works with us put us in contact with them.  It was a good first meeting.  I think that James will have a good time working with them.  They are polite and generally attentive.  None of them came across as being mean and surly.  They came across as being a fairly upbeat group.  Some of them come from very interesting backgrounds.  One of them, for instance, has fourteen brothers and sisters and his father has three wives.  A number of them are orphans.  A couple of them have parents who are divorced.  Some of them were former child soldiers.  An interesting group.  I believe James will enjoy getting to know them.  It won't be long now.  Take care.

Blessings,
Bruce Paden
